Formed in 2017, Evil Creek is an original rock band from Ottawa that has recently re-imagined itself into an intimate four-piece acoustic powerhouse. With a stripped-down setup that requires no elaborate soundstage or equipment, Evil Creek can bring its raw energy and engaging performance to any sized room — from small pubs to big stages. This new direction leverages the band’s unique ability to connect deeply with audiences — creating experiences that feel personal, powerful, and unforgettable.

Blending the grit of hard rock with the storytelling of dark country, Evil Creek’s sound is equal parts soulful and electrifying. Rooted in years of road work and live performance, the band captures the authenticity of unplugged sessions while still delivering the punch of arena-ready rock.

Evil Creek has quickly established itself as one of Ottawa’s most exciting musical acts. Voted Music Group of the Year in both 2022 and 2023 at the Ottawa Awards, the band’s third EP, Away from the Sun (2023), earned Album of the Year honors. Their reputation for commanding live performances has seen them headline festivals such as Whitewater Rocks and share stages with rock icons including Pat Travers, Jeff Martin of The Tea Party, and Chris Holmes of W.A.S.P.

Drawing inspiration from bands like Led Zeppelin, Blackberry Smoke, Days of the New, and the haunting unplugged performances of Alice in Chains and Five Finger Death Punch, Evil Creek’s music combines the raw power of rock with intimate acoustic textures. Their songwriting is as distinctive as their stage presence—infectious energy, tight musicianship, and a genuine connection with audiences turn every performance into an experience that resonates long after the last note.

With a discography that includes Dirt Road (2017), Rust (2020), and Away from the Sun (2023), along with singles such as Lucky Stone (2023), The Underneath (2023), Poor Boy Running (2024), Cut Me Down to Size(2024), Pour Me A Drink (2025) and The Outlaw (2025), the band continues to expand its reach and sound. Currently, Evil Creek is finishing work on their highly anticipated fourth full-length album while performing intimate, engaging acoustic shows across the Ottawa Valley.
